I Got Tired of Bad Load Calcs. So I Fixed It.
Manual J USA is a one-man operation run out of Boise, Idaho. No middlemen, no guesswork — just accurate, inspection-ready reports from someone who's actually been in the field.
Where This Started
I spent years as a lead installer watching third-party load calculations blow up jobs. Wrong sizes, failed inspections, callbacks — it was costing time and money and nobody seemed to care as long as they got paid.
So I started doing them myself. Learned the methodology inside and out, built a process that works, and started getting reports that actually passed first time.
I grew up in this industry — both my parents were in it. This isn't a side hustle. It's the work I know best, and I take it seriously.

Founder & Lead Design Specialist — Boise, ID
I serve the western US because it's home. I know the climate zones, the code cycles, and the inspectors — because I've been working these states my whole career.
When I'm not running calcs, I'm usually out in the mountains — skiing, hunting, and spending time in the same landscape I'm designing comfort systems for.
If you wanna talk shop and I'm hard to reach, I'm probably out doing Idaho things. Drop me a line.
What Makes This Different
Built From Field Experience
I was an installer before I was a load calc specialist. I know what happens when the numbers are wrong — and I won't let that happen to your job.
I Know Your Market
Idaho, Oregon, Washington, Arizona, New Mexico, Utah — these are the states I've worked. I understand the climate zones and local code requirements.
5-Day Standard. 48-Hour Rush.
No waiting weeks for a report. I turn around accurate, inspection-ready calcs on a timeline that keeps your jobs moving.
J, D & S — All Included
One provider, one price, consistent quality across every report. No juggling multiple vendors for the same project.
